CPI website: CPI No. 1 Solar Power Plant in Osaka Put into Operation

    On May 18, CPI No. 1 Solar Power Plant in South Asoka Port, co-invested by SEP (Japan) and Japan’s Shenhe Industrial Company, completed the construction and put into operation.

    This solar power plant, faces Osaka Bay and near the industrial port, which is the window of Osaka’s foreign economic trade. The flat terrain and rich sunlight resource, making it as an ideal place for solar power construction. It is said that the project had three phases, covering an area of 330,000 square meters and gross power generation will reach 1.5 million kilowatts.

    The project is the first photovoltaic power plant project that SEP (Japan) invested and also the first photovoltaic project in Osaka. The operation of the project is a great start for SEP’s investment in Japan and also a stepping stone to form another SEP overseas by 2020.
