Wang Yundan Visits Chinese Consul General to Istanbul

On September 8, 2018, SEP Chairman Wang Yundan paid a visit to Cui Wei, Consul General of China in Istanbul, and Huang Songfeng, Commercial Consul of China in Istanbul, during his trip to Turkey to promote Hunutlu Coal-fired Power Plant project.



Wang introduced the latest development of site preparation, equipment tendering and project financing for Hunutlu project to Cui, and expressed that they would construct the project into a clean, high-efficient and reliable world-class power plant.



Cui affirmed SEP's work accomplished in Turkey, and congratulated on the substantial progress made by the project. He noted that Hunutlu Coal-fired Power Plant invested by SEP is a direct investment project with the largest amount carried out by Chinese enterprise in Turkey since the two countries established diplomatic relations, and that the significant breakthrough made by the project in Turkey is both pioneering and exemplary. He also expressed that the Consulate-General would provide help for SEP's investment in Turkey.


During their meeting, Wang and Cui exchanged views on the current economic situation in Turkey.



The site preparation project for Hunutlu Coal-fired Power Plant commenced officially on July 16, 2018. As of September 9, the project completed excavation amount of around 1.34 million cubic meters, accounting for 48.32 percent of total excavation amount; it finished filling amount of about 1.53 million cubic meters, accounting for 47.31 percent of total filling amount; it constructed 1480 meters of plant boundary wall, accounting for 32.6 percent of total length.



Wu Ming, SEP General Counsel and Executive Director of SEP's Turkish subsidiaryEMBA Electricity Production Inc. (EMBA), AVIC-INTL Project Engineering Company Chairman Ms. Zhang Yan and AVIC-INTL Project Engineering Company Chief Representative in Turkey Feng Qiao participated in the visit.
